Commitment to fulfill God’s Call

Commitment to fulfill God’s Call

Commitment

Let us have the Commitment to fulfill God’s Call
Ps 24:6-9

6Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah 7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! 9Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

Here we are asked to lift up our heads in other words wake up from your sleep. God has great things for us to restore and to be a blessing, but we have to be committed. Many a times, the enemy has us to believe that everything is okay or that God is not releasing His blessing on us but the fact is we are not resisting the devil and taking what is rightfully ours by faith.
God releases His provisions step by step according to our obedience. After God tells us to do something then He waits for us to complete that task. It took Abraham 20 years before his promise was fulfilled. What was happening in between? There was a journey in which Abraham was growing in faith and learning obedience. Stop sleep walking in your Christian life as we could drift away from God’s plan. Let us be responsible to fulfill the calling God has on our lives. Let us be firm in our commitment to God
And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the Lord with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your heart to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” So the people of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and they served the Lord only. 1 SAMUEL 7:3-4 ESV

Let us not compromise in our walk with the Lord either. God wants us to follow Him wholeheartedly. We cannot mix our life with God and the world. The world and worldly wisdom has to be overcome.

Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? EZEKIEL 18:31 ESV

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Deuteronomy 30:19

There are many children of God who were called for the great commission who could not fulfill or missed their calling. If we do not stand strong on the Word of God and in the Kingdom of God then very easily we can become like the prodigal son in the Bible. Let us take heed and be encouraged to be faithful to who is always faithful to us.

Sovereignty and Responsibility

Sovereignty and Responsibility

SOVEREIGNTY  PLUS  RESPONSIBILITY

Miles J. Stanford
Concerning God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility in the realm of soteriology, Covenant theology stresses God’s sovereignty, and eliminates man’s responsibility. [1] Covenant Calvinism correctly maintains the doctrine of Total Depravity: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing” (Rom. 7:18).  But their definition of total depravity is “total inability.” For this their proof text is Ephesians 2:1: “And you hath He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins.”  Their illustration of this total inability is a man physically dead, who cannot see, hear, speak or move.   Hence he is totally unable to respond to God in any way–he cannot believe. Diligent in Building Your House on the Finished Work of Christ

Diligent in Building Your House on the Finished Work of Christ

It is very important that you build your personal as well as family life on the Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus Finished work is your foundation, your home will be established.

When people are careful in laying the foundation when they build an ordinary house, how much more should you be diligent to build up your spiritual life in the Lord? If you read the Bible for a while and pray for five minutes, how can your family or personal life be built?

When You See Grace then you will have Faith

When You See Grace then you will have Faith

When You See Grace then you will have Faith

Do you remember the woman with the issue of blood
who had been bleeding for 12 years? (Mark 5:25-34)

She did not only see Jesus as being full of healing power,
but she also saw Him as being full of grace.

How do we know that?
It’s because she would have known
full well that according to the law of Moses,
she was considered unclean because of her condition, and was not supposed to touch anyone, let alone be found squeezing her way through a crowd.

World Overcomers

World Overcomers

WORLD OVERCOMERS:
1 John 5:4 (NKJV) For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
We are world overcomers not because of who we are or some great feat that we have accomplished, but because we are born of God. When we made Jesus the Lord and Savior of our lives we were born into His family, the family of God.
All God says to us to do is believe it. The second part of this verse states, this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Our faith is our belief of Who God is, what He has and what He can do. Our faith is our knowing that God is for us and not against us. Our faith is our trust that He has made us world overcomers. So again, it’s not about us but it’s about Christ in us, the hope of glory.
Today, see yourself as one who overcomes the world and not one who is overtaken by the world. See yourself as the victorious one, because you are in Him. Remember He lives inside of you. Who lives inside of us? The Greater One lives in you, the One who created the stars and every living thing, the One who died on the cross for you. He didn’t die at Calvary’s hill for Himself, He did it all for you, and He wants you to partake of all that He paid for you to have.
Confession: Today, I am a world overcomer because the Greater One lives in me. I believe this by faith. My faith is trusting God and believing that what He said is true. I believe it so that settles it. I am a world overcomer.
